Platform Rebuild for Grocery Replenishment

Feast Instock Portal

Feast Instock Portal is Amazon Fresh’s primary user-facing platform for grocery replenishment and supply-chain decision-making, used daily by Instock Managers to determine what to buy, how much to order, and where inventory should flow across the network. The portal consolidated dozens of fragmented legacy tools into a unified experience spanning forecasting, buying, policy configuration, diagnostics, and operational execution.

The multi-year rebuild focused on modernizing a revenue-critical system operating at tens of billions of dollars in annual scale — improving usability, data reliability, and decision quality while reducing manual work and error-prone workflows. The program introduced a modular platform architecture and new AI-assisted diagnostics to help operators understand system outputs, detect issues, and take corrective action faster.

Diagnostic Product Launch - Atlas

Atlas is a diagnostics and visualization layer within the Feast Instock Portal that helps Instock Managers understand why automated replenishment systems made specific decisions — and where breakdowns in the supply chain are occurring. The tool surfaces anomalies, forecast errors, policy conflicts, and execution gaps across a complex network of upstream systems, translating opaque system outputs into actionable insights for operators.

The initiative focused on shifting teams from reactive firefighting to proactive intervention by centralizing diagnostics, improving data transparency, and introducing AI-assisted root-cause analysis to accelerate issue detection and resolution.

  • Product Incubation: Spearheaded diagnostic platform from initial concept and prototype to a production-scale visualization platform for Instock Managers.

  • Engagement: Scaled the platform to become the #1 diagnostic tool in Amazon Fresh, maintaining 92% weekly adoption including active use by Directors and VPs for strategic decision-making.
